PROMETHEUS' was a Greek God who bestowed man with fire, an incomparable gift by nature. Fire gave man an edge over animals.
This myth has been treated by a number of ancient sources, in which Prometheus is credited with playing a pivotal role in the early history of humankind.
The first use of fire marked the beginning of technological evolution which continues even today.
Consequently, the national level technical symposium conducted by Padmasri Dr.B.V.Raju Institute of technology is named "Promethean" paying homage to Prometheus who bestowed upon the mankind an incomparable gift, the FIRE.
Promethean hosts a galaxy of events aimed at boosting the technological and managerial skills inherent in today’s youth and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas and thoughts.
